Our Rich Heritage

Riyadh Development Company (ARDCO), a joint-stock company, was established in 1994 as the realization of a vision of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, during his tenure as the Governor of Riyadh, with its first mandate being the development of the Qasr Al-Hukm area in central Riyadh. Since then, ARDCO has become a cornerstone of Riyadh’s real estate development and investment industry, through establishing, operating, and managing key projects in the public good services sector. The company is proud to have had HRH King Salman, may God protect him, as the first Chairman of its Board of Directors.

Powered by our vision, our corporate strategy aims to contribute to the company’s continuous growth through partners, digitization, and sustainability in its wider sense. In order to help guarantee sustainable growth in our business, we seek to cultivate meaningful, strategic partnerships with key players in the market, as well as enhance our operational efficiency throughout our business sectors by capitalizing on strategic opportunities in the digital sphere.

With a focus on real estate development, the management of such development and investment diversification will be our top priorities as we keep pace with the economic renaissance taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and specifically, in the city of Riyadh. Additionally, we aim to strengthen our leadership in expanding the fresh produce sector and improving its services to enrich the experiences of both investors and shareholders.

The market is operated by AlTameer Company based on the contract signed with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs with the aim of re-establishing, investing, operating, and maintaining the place for a period of 25 years.

AlTameer Fruits & Vegetables Wholesale Market is designed for both wholesale suppliers and buyers in the fruit and vegetable business.

The market is also considered one of the largest gates for the trade of local and foreign vegetables and fruits to all parts of the Kingdom, the Gulf countries and the Arab countries.

The complex includes several sites, cold stores, a central laboratory, as well as a sorting and packaging plant.

AlTameer International Auto Auction consists of an administrative building in addition to a large space for storing and conducting auctions on vehicles.

The area includes 9 bidding lanes, with a capacity of 1,800 cars every three hours and a storage capacity of 20,000 cars.

The auction stores, cleans, and inspects the cars and then offers them for sale as a neutral broker without any involvement in the buying process.

This initiative is a part of the efforts undertaken by both parties to enhance digital transformation in the vehicle auction sector in KSA.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohammad Abdulaziz Alomair, CEO of Elm, and Mr. Waleed Alkharji, CEO of Public Goods and Commercial Centers at Riyadh Development Company, on the sidelines of the GITEX Global 2024 exhibitionheld in Dubai, which will berunning until October 18.
